We no longer live in SC. All of our stuff has been packed into a moving van and the cars arrived in C yesterday. I'm down in LA with Melly hanging out at our beach cottage (AKA mom's house!) So the blogging is going to be a little sparse for a while.
Now, the reason I am down in LA right now is that Ms. F is getting married in two weeks... or a little less than that and I want to see her walk down the aisle. Ah yes, it seems a if all of us are getting married, having kids, and being adults. Who thought that would ever happen?
And here is my big THANK YOU to Grandma and Grandpa D!!! I don't think this move wold have been possible without both of you helping!

Goodbyes are hard
On Sunday we had our last BBQ in CA for a while.
Lots of our friends came to see us off.
Unfortunately, Mr. C could not attend as he had to fly to NC first thing on Sunday morning.
He was missed... but a good time was had by all.

And now we return to our story
But first a moment from our sponsor.
These bunny slippers were given to us before Melly was much more than a little tadpole. Her feet have finally gotten big enough to fit in them. Unfortunately, she won't wear shoes when she is awake. So here are some ver cute sleeping baby feet.

Sorry everyone... I have lapsed on my blogging recently. And I would like to offer an explanation. As everyone knows I was laid off on the 30th so I have been a stay at home mom for the past two weeks... and the part about being a mom has gotten my really busy. I have been doing all the fun things that I didn't get to do with her while I was working. We have gone to the park, the beach, out in the stroller and generally had a lot of quality time. Unfortunately, quality time involves very few naps (which are not taken in the car or on mommy's lap) and by the time she goes to sleep... I am ready to sleep too. (I won't even get into the fun of attempting to type while holding a baby).
Meanwhile we are attempting to get ready for our big move. We now have an apartment and I'll be sending out the address as soon as we sign the lease. It's two beds/two baths and on the third floor. It looks beautiful (in the pictures) and Mr. C is very please with it. The moving van comes on the 28th to take all of our stuff away...however nothing is packed yet because we are having a yard sale this weekend and need to get the stuff out of the house before we can pack the stuff we are keeping. We do have a plan, however...and that involves taking everything that doesn't sell directly to goodwill. It's a good plan.
We also have a good bye BBQ this weekend. Unfortunately plans changed at the last moment and Mr. C has to fly out Sunday morning instead of Sunday night and so he will be missing his BBQ. Which is sad. But luckily for me he will be back in town (with Grandma D and Grandpa D) on Thursday night and so we have three days of packing with help watching the baby before the truck comes. So everything should be just fine. Everything will be just fine.
Our last day in SC is the 28th. And our first day in NC is the 11th of Aug... go figure. More to follow.

I woke up this morning and decided to do a lot of very important things, not only did I crawl across the living room (with my feet and hands on the floor and my butt in the air) but I also can stand by myself for a second or two (after pulling myself up all by myself) but most importantly... I HAVE A TOOTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
