That's right tonight I got a call from my boss saying that it was snowing on the summit of 17 and that if I expected to go home tonight I had better get my butt in gear. So I took off... And reached the summit thinking to myself... That's not snow, it's just raining. Then the 'rain' started making splotches on the windshield and coming in completely sideways... hmmm, not rain anymore. Wheeee! I had a snow day! And if it continues like this, I will have a snow day from work tomorrow!!! Awesome!!!
There is lots going on right now... Including the very real possibility of a move to a cute little cottage in the hills. I will keep everyone posted as the news becomes more solid.
For now, stay warm!

Wednesday afternoon blues
I am at home in the middle of the day on a Wednesday. Why, you might ask... well... I had to finish a project for my photo class and the lab hours at 11:15 - 6. Well, obviously if I am going to finish my project I can't be in the lab and at work... So here I sit. My project was frustrating, long, and generally pissed me off. However, it is done and I don't have to do it again... I hope. I did score lots of points with the professor from my class by cleaning up after other students though. (Heh, little does she realize half my life is cleaning up after other kids.) I smell like chemicals, had lunch but ate too much and now I am sitting at home thinking I could go to work for a few hours... But don't want to. I am still on standby for jury duty too. *grin* What a world.
None of this explains why I keep putting Jagers up on my blog, does it? Well, if you have to ask... then I feel sorry for you. They are just so cute!!! And funny! I just want to hug them all!!! *sigh*
Yah, I'm back. Got a little smoochy there for a moment. I'll be over it one day. But until then... I'm going to bed where it is warm.

Horoscope for 2/16
The strangest things pop out of your mouth when you're not thinking. And in this instance, it totally works for you. You manage to say just the thing that needed to be said, even though it's completely unexpected.
The names have been changed to protect the innocent
For those of you who have been dying to know what I did that was so cool for v-day... I have offically changed my name. I am no longer just S... I have added the R. So now I am Mrs. R. Oh, so cool.
Other cool things, Mr. C gave me pearls. So pretty. I'm all growed up! *sigh* I really am feeling the love.
I am also trying to type this on my lap while doing three other things, so I will be back later...

Happy Valentine's Day!!!
Normally this holiday doesn't evoke any happy in me. I have sort of just let it go in the past without a second thought. But this year...oh the sweet smell of love is in the air! You wanna know why? Because I have some of the best friends in the world. I keep getting emails and text messages and phone calls from all kinds of people wishing me a happy V-day. And, of course, this puts me in the right mood too. Along with that, I am sure I have a kick-butt v-day gift for my hubby and have been getting cards in the mail from all kinds of people. I am feeling the love. And passing it on... I went to Target yesterday and got lots of candy and little bags for the kids at the shelter. So, even though all of the tutors have called or emailed and said they are not coming in tonight, I will still be in the spirit of things with candy.
Know what else is glorious? I developed film this morning! It's like magic. I poured chemicals into a little container and shook it up... I messed around with raw film in a little closet... I got my lesson from the professor without the rest of the class because I asked... Oh, it was good. And now I have developed negatives to show for it. What a beautiful morning. There was a really funny moment when I did something and a big change occurred to me. (Yes, I am being deliberately cryptic, I can't explain this until after tonight as is has to do with a V-day surprise for Mr. C)
And the sun is out.
(That's kinda like saying and a bag of chips)
I hope everyone else is having a wonderful day.

Make up
To make up for my totally crappy week, the universe has put fourth an extremely wonderful past weekend. Not only did I get to go shopping with my best friend and my housemate, I also got to game with my hubby (and what a game it was) and go see lots of people I like at a symposium. I also saw Pan's Labyrinth. Ohhh, where to start...
Friday night: Pan's Labyrinth. It was dark and stormy... the perfect night for a movie. And it was a very good movie. I was a little worried walking in because usually, if everyone likes a movie, I hate it. Not the case here. My biggest issue was the violence. It was pretty violent. (Not that I am saying too violent or that it was misplaced violence, I was just not prepared for it and had to continuously hide my eyes during certain scenes.) But I loved it. I could never tell who to trust and all of the action spiraled and I never knew what was going to happen next. Truly wonderful!!!
Saturday: Lots of ren faire symposium action. It was lots of fun seeing people I don't see too often and it was also great fun to realize that I know enough that the classes were boring. And that's a good thing. I was feeling like I didn't know anything and now I have this little ego boost. *grin* I am all set to start on two new costumes for this up coming year... I got lots of ego stroking and lovin from friends, (in relating this day to friends I was told it was because in the high school of ren faire I happen to be in the popular crowd)and I am quite pleased by the entire thing. Yah!!!
Sunday: Shoppies!!! I got to go out with two of the coolest people ever and shop. How could the world be more perfect? Oh, by letting me buy a pair of pin stripped pants with suspenders? Yep, that works. They are totally 1940's glam girl pants and not only do they fit and look good, they are exactly what I was explaining to Ms. N about 20 min before I found them. *sigh* true love. Then It was off to a LARP. Yes, I know I haven't gamed in a while and most of you were hoping that I was over this little phase in my life, but I had lots of fun. I got to be an Eshu in a Garu game. *gaming love*
So now it is Monday. I am dealing with my hubbies v-day gift. Oh, I am soooo good. Tonight I don't get to come home as I have a meeting to morrow morning at 7:45a and am spending the night in SJ with a co-worker. Hopefully I can convince some nice friend of mine to go out to dinner with me....
So the month is looking up and I am off to my weight check. See you in the funny papers...

Photography and me
Today was the first day of my photography class. It was great. I have no idea what I am doing, I don't own a camera (the kind I need) and I had to speak with the professor about the fact that I am going to be missing classes for the next two weeks. But she commended me on being so 'adult' and telling her about it. She then made arrangements to give me a private lesson to cover the things I was going to miss. I like the whole being an adult thing. It allows me to continue having fun while still letting me do my job. Life is looking up. Yah photography.

Astrology on a Sunday Monring
Even though you love them all dearly, you are a bit out of sync with the members of your family right now. Don't be surprised if you have a hard time communicating with them. Saying what you truly want may feel difficult, but is that a difficulty you're imposing upon yourself? Today, just speak from the heart. You may be surprised at how warmly you are received. Have you been underestimating your relatives? Expect the best, and you'll often get it.
Hummm. Well, it has the unfortunate ring of truth to it. I did something pretty stupid that I now have to admit to and talk about. And in return I now get to drag other people down into it with me. Thankfully, they are people who love me and will hopefully forgive me in time. Unfortunately, it is not a quick fix. I hate it. I hate not knowing what to do to make everything better. Especially if it's all my fault to begin with. And there it is. And now I've said it. And now I have to wait. I'm an idiot.

More dreaming
Happy Feb!
I don't know why I have been having all of these weird dreams lately. The one this morning involved a train ride to Seattle and an Indian (From India) wedding in a movie theater. Yah, I have no idea either. Perhaps it's my mind telling me I am going insane. (I was going to say slowly insane but with these kind of dreams night after night...)
In other news I took Isabella in for her 20,000 mile check up. (Technically it was her 23,500 mile check up, but close enough) I was told I was doing a great job. My breaks are fine, my fluids are fine, they rotated her tires and checked the battery. No issues at all. The best moment was when that lady ringing me up looked at the purchase date then at the mileage and said "You sure do drive a lot". Heh. 23,500 in nine months. I'm trying for 30,000 in one year. That would put me at half the mileage I'm allowed in 5 years all in one. I can probably hit over 100,000 by the time I am supposed to turn her in. Won't that be fun? It's a good thing I'm buying her.
In other news... That stupid groundhog didn't see his shadow. Early spring, if you believe in German tradition. Just what we need. Hopefully that will mean some rain. It's getting petty dry out there.
Upcoming events: I get to go to Costco tonight. I love Costco. This weekend is all about taking people out to breakfast, lunch, and dinner. (It's three different people in one day) and relaxing all day Sunday. I have to start dreaming up new clothing for renn faires and deal with new cell phone laws... but Sunday is for nothing at all.
